Detailed Itinerary - Sacred Valley and Cusco in 8 days

Day 1:

Cusco – Sacred Valley (B)

Transfer from the airport to the hotel in the valley. Free day for acclimatization. 4.30 p.m. – 6.00 p.m. In the afternoon we will go to the Hummingbird Sanctuary. Dinner at the hotel. Hotel in the Sacred Valley.

Day 2:

Sacred Valley (B, L, D)

10.00 a.m. – 4.00 p.m. Tour to the salt mines of Maras, the Circular Platforms of Moray and Chincheros. Lunch in Urubamba. Dinner at the hotel. Hotel in the Sacred Valley.

Day 3:

Sacred Valley (B, L, D)

10.00 a.m. – 4.00 p.m. Short Hike to Ñaupa Church, Tour to the Ollantaytambo Fortress Lunch in the Sacred Valley. Optional: Workshop to make Chocolate. 7.00 p.m. Astrological Tour and Inca Cosmovision (from 7 years old they can focus with the telescope). Dinner at the hotel. Hotel in the Sacred Valley.

Day 4:

Sacred Valley (B, L, D)

7.50 a.m. Check out and leave your big luggage at the hotel in the valley. 8.00 a.m. Pick up from the hotel and transfer to Ollantaytambo. 9.15 a.m. – 10.52 a.m. Vistadome Train Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes. 11.00 a.m. Transfer to the hotel. 30-minute walk to the Butterfly Garden tour. Lunch at the restaurant in Aguas Calientes. Optional: In the afternoon you can walk for 30 minutes to the Thermal Baths of Aguas Calientes. Between 7.00 p.m. – 7.30 p.m. Briefing whit guide to Machu Picchu (Duration 10 minutes). Dinner at the hotel. Hotel in Aguas Calientes.

Day 5:

Machu Picchu (B, L, D)

Bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu. Guided tour in Machu Picchu for 2.5 hours. Lunch at the Tinkuy Restaurant at the Sanctuary Lodge hotel in Machu Picchu. Bus from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes. 2.50 pm They must be at the train station. 3.20 pm – 5.15 p.m. Vistadome Train Aguas Calientes – Ollantaytambo. 5.15 p.m. – 6.00 p.m. Transfer from the Ollantaytambo station to your hotel. Hotel in The Sacred Valley.

Day 6:

Sacred Valley – Cusco (B)

10.00 a.m. – 3.00 p.m. Tour to the Pisac archaeological complex, to the artisan market and on the way to Cusco we can visit the Animal Sanctuary of Cochahuasi to see the flight of the condor. Hotel in Cusco.

Day 7:

Cusco (B)

10.00 a.m. p.m. Pick up from your hotel. 10.00 a.m. – 2.00 p.m. City Tour: Koricancha Temple, Saqsayhuaman, Q'enqo & Tambomachay. Hotel in Cusco.

Departure from Cusco (B)
